We have now moved back to our original headquarters in the newly-named 'Peppermint Heights' in Alperton.  We are now located on the ground floor of the newly-refurbished building, with  suitable adaptations for children and young people who have a wide range of  special needs. With 'state of the art' play equipment, changing facilities, IT, video / TV and art  room, a fully-fitted kitchen, outside play area and roof garden, and sensory  room. We are adjacent to the Grand Union Canal at Alperton where our narrow  boat 'The John Lyon' is moored.  There is also a hall, complete with inter-active whiteboard, which is suitable for  meetings, training sessions and conferences (maximum 100 people). Our official opening was during the summer of 2012, and we shall be running  Holiday Play Schemes for children with special needs.  We continue our work with the voluntary sector to support and assist groups and organizations working with children  and young people in a variety of ways.  If you would like to visit the new premises to see 'at first hand' what we have to offer then please contact us to  arrange a special appointment.

This website has been the home of the on-going campaign to Keep Stonebridge Adventure Playground Open &  free for children.   The petition remains open so if you haven't already signed your support then please do so. The responses of  those who have signed so far is a testimony to the value of a Playground like Stonebridge which is at  the heart of the local community, and remains a safe haven for children of all ages to come and  socialise and express themselves in a variety of ways.  We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported this campaign  which was started in the Autumn of 2010 by Audley Harrison who attended the Stonebridge Centre  when he was a young boy.  Brent Council have supported the Brent Play Association by providing sufficient funding  for the Centre to remain open for another year. We thank them for this, and very much hope  that this will be extended to a further three, and then five years into the future.  We will keep everyone informed of any new developments as they arise.
