working in partnership Welcome to the Brentplay web-site, and thank you for your interest in our organisation.    We are a small locally-based charity that promotes and delivers services for school age children, including those who have special  needs. We work predominantly in the London Borough of Brent, although we have links with many other London Boroughs, and have  organised trips, camps and residential breaks for children further afield. First formed in 1990 the Association provides a wide range of opportunities for children:  Play schemes, breakfast and after school clubs, a 'state of the art' Adventure Playground on the Stonebridge Estate, day respite  for children with special and diverse needs, The John Lyon narrow boat on the Grand Union canal, a Playwork NVQ training and  assessment centre, equipment hire and loan to children's organisations, including inflatable bouncy castles, go karts and face  painting….and more. We also provide expertise, and advice in all areas of children's play, activities, play equipment, legislative requirements in the field  of children's play and child care.  Our headquarters is at Middlesex House in Alperton, but for the next 6 months whilst this landmark building is being re-furbished  we are temporarily located on the ground floor of St Quintin's View, 28 North Pole Road, London W10 6QL.   Our mail is still collected on a daily basis from Middlesex House, and our telephone numbers remain the same… Brent Play Association       Registered Charity: 1085110       Company Ltd. no 3875532 The petition remains open so if you haven't already signed your support then please do so. The responses of those who have  signed so far is a testimony to the value of a Playground like Stonebridge which is at the heart of the local community, and remains  a safe haven for children of all ages to come and socialise and express themselves in a variety of ways.  We would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported this campaign which was started in the Autumn of  2010 by Audley Harrison who attended the Stonebridge Centre when he was a young boy.  Brent Council have supported the BPA by providing sufficient funding for the Centre to remain open for another year. We thank  them for this, and very much hope that this will be extended to a further three, and then five years into the future.  We will keep everyone informed of any new developments as they arise.  This website has been the home of the on-going campaign to Keep Stonebridge Adventure   Playground Open & free for children.   For more information on this campaign, please click We would also like to endorse some specialist companies that we have received excellent service from over the years.   This is by way of a 'Thank You' to them for their continued support for Brentplay.  The Playground Company that replaced the old equipment with the exciting timber framed swings, towers, walkways and   aerial runway.   The children love the new play equipment, and the sand gives the playground a relaxed beach-style environment, where   mums and dads are happy to sit and chat while their children have fun.  We would also like to endorse and recommend: Microcare Ltd - An excellent locally based company that caters for all your computer, printer, and technological needs:   We also extend our hearty thanks to Network/ Stadium Housing Association with whom we have worked closely for many years,   and who continue to support the BPA and their work in the community.  Thanks also to Brent Council for keeping Stonebridge going for another year, and to the John Lyon’s Charity for their on-going   help and support for our work with children and young people.  THANK YOU
